AUXILIARY CLASSES AND LEARNING Classes, required classes to maintain qualifications, and instruction is provided by the Coast Guard, National, District, Division and the Flotilla. The Auxiliary member then can discuss with the MT (Member Training) officer in the Flotilla, or go online to search the National, District and Division sites for classes. In many instances, the member will participate in the Public Education (PE) classes offered. Classes are generally FREE to a member, except when in some cases materials have to be bought. Examples of classes available are Navigation, GPS, Boating, Weather, Web and PowerPoint building, Seamanship, Search and Rescue and many, many more. |
FACTOID Location of classes are always close and in many instances are given at the Flotilla site.
